Item Description: ICALCD DOUBLE-LAYER COVERED ALUMINUM CABLE indicated for urban or rural distribution networks, it is the alternative to bare aluminum cable when it needs to be used in regions where accidental contact is likely, such as wooded areas, areas with a high density of branches or near buildings.

They are composed of a compact aluminum conductor with moisture blocking (on demand) and optionally have, in the 15 kV and 25 kV versions, and mandatory in the 35 kV version, a semiconductor layer, in addition to a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) cover and another made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) that is resistant to the action of the sun, abrasion and with high resistance to electrical tracking. The total thickness of the coverings is 3 mm for 15 kV cables, 4 mm for 25 kV cables and 7.6 mm for 35 kV cables.
